Hi, I’m James, a vocalist who’s fluent in both singing and rapping. I’m looking for musicians who are a similar age to me (16-26) and are extremely dedicated to being in a similar band to the one I envision. In my eyes, I would do whatever it takes to make it in the music industry. I can’t see myself doing any other job and I’m willing to push myself to the absolute limit just to make ends meet for any band I’m in. I will be one of the most passionate people about music you’ll ever meet.
I want to evolve alt. rock/alt. metal by fusing it in ways never accomplished before in mainstream to create a unique, genre-bending sound.
I think it’s a terrible idea to only go for nostalgia. I want to pick up where alt. metal ‘died’ in the mid 2000s due to ‘poser’, ‘frat’ sounding bands and continue to naturally evolve the sound to make it current and unique. It won’t be heavy for the sake of being heavy. It will only be heavy appropriately which is what’s wrong with mainstream metal right now. Every modern heavy band now sounds like a heavy breakdown for no reason and they all sound the same. I’m sick of it and wanted to be the witness of change. I’m tired of not seeing it so I want to act.

I can sing clean and with distortion, can rap and can do most screaming techniques to some extent.
I also own a left handed acoustic guitar which I sometimes play when I’m bored lmao.
Unfortunately basically no equipment since I’m only at University.
