Hi,
My name is Jade McLaren and I am a vocalist/ frontman looking to join an original act in Melbourne. I have over 10 years of experience fronting original and cover bands and have had a great deal of success over the years. I have supported Hoodoo Gurus, Regurgitator, You am I just to name a few and songs that I have co written have received national radio play on Triple J and independent stations. I have performed on Television and at large scale music festivals and I am passionate about performing and feeding of the energy I get from a crowd. I have written over 200 songs in my life time and have am super keen to be involved in the writing process.
I have primarily performed in regional Victoria but have played Cherry bar, Ding Dong, Pony (before it closed), and Yah Yah's. I am also well versed in the fine art of booking gigs and I have a great network of paid gigs along the east coast of Australia. I am also a qualified graphic designer and multimedia creator and have made multiple film clips and hundreds of band posters.

Influences
I have been told I have a very eclectic vocal sound and fans have often likened me to Ian Curtis (Joy Division), Michael Hutchence (INXS) and Morrisey (The Smiths).
But I tend to sing a huge range of styles and never really stick to just one voice. I cant remember my range but I can sing falsetto and rip into big rock choruses like Screaming jets or Joe Cocker.
