SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I have a wide musical background in my youth of playing recorder at primary school, oboe to Grade 8 at high school, then singing in large choirs and singing to my own guitar in folk clubs at college. Owned a piano and took some lessons in my 20s; but then little music apart from going to folk festivals until by chance getting lent a good piano to keep at home in 2022 and having lessons since then. For the moment I just want to get together occasionally with an unserious band, ideally within 5k of Ainslie, and have fun making music; might be more serious later. May need to buy a portable keyboard first!

Classical: everything from Bach to Mahler and Elgar, but especially late romantic. Folk: English traditional (e.g. Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention) which I heard in clubs and round campfires as a kid. Rock: mainly 70s prog bands like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Genesis, but like any really good, musically interesting songs, Abba and Madonna included.

EQUIPMENT
No portable keyboard yet, so would need to buy one! I have a piano and electric piano at home, with ample chance to practise.
