Based in Lane Cove, Sydney, Horns Plus is a band of accomplished "weekend warrior" musos who enjoy creating the infectious energy and distinctive feel unique to big-band jazz.
The regular line-up includes four trumpets, four trombones, five saxes, and full rhythm section - and Horns Plus is currently seeking new players to fill our Trumpet 2 and Alto 1 chairs.
We showcase all styles of jazz, from big band swing through to contemporary big-band tunes, R&B, Motown and jazz-rock arrangements.
The band rehearses fortnightly on a Sunday afternoon and plays gigs sporadically. Members receive no payment, but we offer the excitement and experience of being part of a dynamic and big sound, and led by internationally-renowned trumpeter Bob Coassin (Ray Charles, Buddy Rich, James Last, James Morrison etc!)
