ABOUT
Hazel Tones is a contemporary chamber music duo consisting of two flautists, Hayley Irving and Kate
Makrikostas. We cover a range of popular hits by artists including Coldplay, Taylor Swift, and The
Cranberries. Many of our arrangements are inspired by the Bridgerton soundtrack (for any fans out there!),
and we love adding a little bit of classical flair to modern music. Hazel Tones endeavour to offer a unique
and inspired addition to the world of classical instrumental entertainment, for wedding ceremonies, art
galleries, wineries, and the like

Members Of Band
Kate Makrikostas: Kate has been playing the flute since she was ten years old. She currently works as a
Woodwind Instrument teacher in various primary and secondary schools along the Mornington Peninsula.
Kate is also a member of Westernport Regional Band, which specializes in big band jazz, although she still
enjoys playing a wide variety of musical styles.
Hayley Irving: Hayley began playing the flute at the age of eleven, and Kate was her first teacher! She has
since completed her VCE in Music Performance and has studied flute at The University of Melbourne.
