Played acoustic guitar for fun, as I travelled a bit in younger days and it was my only company at times.
Bought a "Fender Telecaster" for my 60th birthday and Played it for fun until about 2 years ago..
As my fingers started having a bit of trouble working a guitar I decided to try an electric bass. Have to been getting lessons for approx 8 months and now feel I can handle it fairly well

Influences
Mother was a very good singer and used to entertain troops in NZ with her father during 2nd world war.
Played BB flat bass in a brass band from 12 to 16 years of age, but when rock & roll hit the scene took up the guitar.
Have 2 boys and a girl who all became interested in playing guitar after watching me playing at home and at parties.
Had them all taught the guitar, were as they were arr all accomplished musicians now
