GOLDEN GULLY JAM SESSIONS AND OPEN MIC
Informal, private, fortnightly sessions for people
who want to make some music and have some fun!
Aimed at those aged over 60, but open to all.
These sessions are not for working muso's, but rather for people who play an instrument or can sing and don't have many other opportunities for playing with others!
The songs that we do are suggested by the participants.
Each Session is recorded for the participants' own use.
Sessions: Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:00pm – 4:00pm
At the moment, the Tuesday Group consists of a female singer, a keyboard player, a rhythm guitarist/vocalist, a saxophonist, a drummer and a bass player and the Thursday Group has a female singer, 2 guitarists, a drummer and bass. There are also 2 trios as well on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with space for more female singers (Tues & Thurs). A Saturday group will be forming soon.
Vacancies in the Sessions come up from time to time, and we can start new sessions now and then, so feel free to register your interest for future involvement.
A monthly Saturday Open Mic Afternoon (SOMA) Jam Session is on the third Saturday of the month (1-5pm). New musos can attend this and possibly form a new weekday session with others. Equipment is available for use. BYO refreshments. No cost.
