ABOUT

Gold Cadillac began due to a break away of a couple of members from a high profile band in Newcastle in 1976. Unable to find suitable people to fill positions needed other than a drummer. Band decided to move to Sydney where vacant positions were filled..

Being an unknown act on the scene the band found it hard to acquire work until its first gig as a support to Kevin Borich at an outer suburb hotel..

Due to this gig things changed and profile and work load changed but members soon tired of Sydney to relocate to mid north coast settling in tun curry the band soon acquired work, reputation and following throughout Forster, Wingham, Kempsey, Crescent Heads and surrounding areas..

After odd line up changes the band decided to move back into Newcastle which lead to its first gig at Newcastle Uni with black feather.

Through hard work and determination the band built a strong and loyal following winning awards for peoples choice and best variety band for several years as well as Newcastle music awards. Work rate has remained consistent as has the bands following.

To add to Gold Cadillac's credibility with gigs supporting National and International acts the live soul Jeff St John, Izzy Di, Mental as Anything, J Justin, John Paul Young, Starship, dion, and Chubby Checker.
