ABOUT

Flamboyant Nightmare are a Brisbane band who began making music in 2022, with the joint dream of a project where they could create music with the only limitation being their imaginations.

Formed by Daniel Langdon on guitars and Rachel Kate on vocals and bass, the project blends the sounds of grunge, alternative and melodic metal together to make music that is uniquely theirs.

The band have a passion for playing live, and began to bring their craft to the stage in 2023 with the help of friends stepping in to drum for these performances. Their debut performance was at Rock Sisters United, then followed up with slots at Undertow, run by Brisbane’s Faith Nightclub.

With the addition of Sam Bowman on drums towards the end of 2023, they have already performed their first gig with a full time drummer and released their first song as a three piece, "Oversimulation"

Flamboyant Nightmare’s journey has only just begun, with the plan of going nowhere but up.

Our 2024 plan is to start getting regular gigs (aiming for once a month) and get into the studio to record an EP, to be released by the end of the year.
