I’m a 32 yo with formal singing training and experience performing in a range of settings. I’d describe my voice as soulful and jazzy but I’m able to apply myself to many genres.
Over the last 7 or so years I have performed in a few different contexts. I’ve worked with a couple of guitarists playing acoustic gigs at some smaller venues, street festivals and weddings. The sort of music I’d perform at these gigs was usually jazz, soul and pop (e.g. Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, London grammar, Beyonce plus typical jazz standards). Over more recent years I segued into performing alongside DJs at electronic music gigs (mostly drum and bass), many of these at nightclubs or larger venues such as manning bar. I’ve also had a few releases in this genre.
I’ve come to a point where i’d really love to join a committed band, as performing is a real joy for me and singing my true passion. I’d love something I can really sink my teeth into.
