SEEKING
Band to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
I'm a producer, songwriter and vocalist from The Netherlands, now based in Sydney.
I'm very ambitious and I have albums worth of songs/song ideas that I want to start taking to the next level.
The main sound I'm going for: Big drums and bass similar to Muse and Royal Blood, with melodies like Keane, The Killers, DMA's. However I don't want to stick to one type of sound. I'd like to be dynamic in song styles and instruments used. Which is why I'm looking for the following people:
- Drummer (Muse, Biffy Clyro, Royal Blood style)
- Bass Player (Willing to go into heavily distorted bass as well as standard bass, think Chris Wolstenholme).
- Multi instrumentalist: Guitarist (both acoustic and electric) and synth/piano.
Talent I'm looking for that could be from any member:
- Lyricist
- Producing/Mixing
Few golden rules:
1. Every member will be 100% equal. Even if I'd do all the writing, the songwriting/performing rights will be split equally.
2. No room for ego's. Every member will put equal hours in and the project is more important than the people in it. However the way I write my songs will give every member plenty of space to really stand out and be in the spotlghts, have their solo's etc.
3. No excessive alcohol/drugs use.
With the amount of songs and ideas I have I'm looking for band members that are more supportive in the instrumental part of the songwriting rather than co-writers. I will provide demos with a lot of freedom for the drummer and bass player to make their parts their own.
Few golden rules for the songs:
1. They have to be entertaining live, wheter it's sing-along, jumping, heavy, etc. Drum and bass play a crucial roll in this. Stadium rock potential.
2. They have to be commercially interesting. Ready for radio, tv, single-worthy.
The songs I want to start with are songs I've been sitting on for many years or months, up to 15 year old songs. I think some of them have a lot of potential, and I'm looking for musicians who want to explore this potential with me.
It's not my goal to play live in the first months. I think it's much more important to find people, come together, work on demos, figure out the long and short term plans together and have a few songs ready that later can be translated to a live setting.
The songs, and the musicians are the product that needs to be perfected before introducing it to the public.
If you are still reading you have a bit of an idea what my vision is. If this all sounds good to you, and you are a professional minded individual, I'm very excited to get to know you.
Please send me a DM if you are interested or if you have any questions, and let's get this project started!
