Hi, start up project. Have played 43yrs. Used to gig as a solo singer/guitarist/keyboarder in the 80s-90s. Then became a psychologist. B4 career change I wrote over 1300 songs in 15 years. Played and recorded some but never the stuff I wrote for a band. Turning 60 next year. Having a party. Want to play some songs that have never been played to others before(see influences below). Influences
The 1300 songs fall in many genres. The ones I want to perform are influenced by Motown, Stax, Muscle shoals. Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Van Morrison, maybe Beatles. Brass and sax, back up singers, good bass, piano/keys and rhythm/minimal lead guitar. Up beat, danceable, sing along to.

That's it so far, feeling my way, as new to this site. Thought I'd put it out to the universe and see what comes back :-) Don't know about practice/gigs etc at this point. May be around Northern beaches/Lower North shore for practice.
EQUIPMENT
