Desert Runner has been playing together in it's current form since Jan 2023. During that time we've been pumping out 1-2 gigs a month at all the local haunts. 3 of us live in Bondi and our singer lives in Newtown. We've recorded 4 songs and have another pack ready for the studio in the next couple months.
We're open to the idea of adding a second guitar player pref with some backing vocals. A multi-instrumentalist who could also cover bass or drums when members can't make gigs would be cool. Not too hung up on gender or age, but somewhere between 23 and 40 would probably be best. Must be commited, fun to hang with and have control of their schedule and finances. Ability to add to the songwriting process is a bonus.
As far our sound: Melodic Sludge? Stoner Emocore? Take the best of Grunge, Classic Rock, Post-Punk, and Stoner Rock and throw them in a blender: out pops Desert Runner
We are all reliable and commited and expect the same from our next member. Don't get the wrong idea though, we are not strangers to sinking a beer or 2(0) and getting loose after shows. Currently jams are 6pm on Mondays @ Talon Music in Rose Bay, but we're open to look at other days and venues.
