ABOUT

Hey, I’m Dave – drummer based in Cairns (originally from Melbourne), with around 30 years of live and studio experience. I also run a local drum school.

Available for session work (live or recording) and open to the right band if the music’s a good fit. Comfortable with music theory, click/backing tracks, structured sets and picking things up quickly.

I’m play across styles from rock, metal and prog to pop, funk, blues and jazz/fusion. My own interests naturally lean toward heavier and progressive music, but I’m equally happy playing anything with energy, feel and a strong sense of groove.

I also play bass and rhythm guitar, and have a background in recording and audio/mix engineering. My home studio is treated and fully equipped for tracking, rehearsals and mixing, with professional gear and full PA.
