ABOUT

Hi, I'm Dave – a Cairns-based drummer, originally from Melbourne, with nearly 30 years of live and studio experience. I also run a local drum school here in town.

I cover a broad range of styles – rock, metal, prog, funk, fusion and everything in between. I love the raw energy and punch of heavy music, and the detail and creativity you get from more progressive styles. Whether it's pushing the boundaries or just locking into a groove, I aim to play with purpose and feel.

I'm open to joining the right band – or available for live or studio sessions.

Beyond the kit, I play bass and rhythm guitar, and have plenty of hands-on experience with recording and mixing.
My acoustically treated studio is fully equipped for tracking, mixing and rehearsals, with pro gear and a full PA. I’m comfortable with clicks, backing tracks, and used to working in structured setups.
