Hey, I’m Dave – drummer based in Cairns (originally from Melbourne), with around 30 years of live and studio experience. I also run a local drum school.

Available for session work (studio or stage), and would consider joining the right band if the music feels like a fit. I’m comfortable with music theory, click tracks, backing tracks, structured sets, and quick learning environments, bringing a professional approach to rehearsals and performances.

My playing spans from rock, metal and prog to pop, funk, blues and jazz/fusion. My own interests naturally lean toward heavier and progressive music, but I’m equally happy playing anything with energy, feel and a strong sense of groove.

Outside of drums, I also play bass and rhythm guitar, and have a background in recording and mix engineering. My treated home studio is fully equipped for tracking, rehearsals and mixing, with professional gear and full PA.
