I like jazz, soul, Latin and funk but I have played all sorts of music over the years. The last bank I was in was playing Samba and other Latin grooves.
I like working with a vocalist but I also like playing instrumental music. I had the pleasure of working with a trumpet player and a trombone player recently and it was a lot of fun.
I don't read music very well but my ear is pretty good and I pick up tunes quickly

Influences
...lots! Everything from Stan Getz to the Crusaders. I have been listening to Cannonball Adderley and Nancy Wilson lately. I heard Candy Dulfer and the amazing Jan Van Duikeren on flugelhorn playing Strasbourg - St. Denis and that would be very cool to play
Bottom line is I love music...all kinds
