Hi, I’m a Singer Songwriter, my name’s Dahlia.
I’m deeply inspired by the magic that stirs when a new song comes to me from a seemingly simple concept. Songwriting is my art, my joy & a tapestry of infinite possibility that I revel at intuitively exploring in order to move, inspire, heal & energise the people that hear it.
I am seeking like minded, ambitious, grounded, centred, committed, joyous professionals of good character, to collaborate with - guitar, drums, bass, piano, trumpet, keyboard, background singers (preferably female vocals).
I’ve been in vocal training with some of the best, for the last 6 years. My voice seems to suit best when I sing along to Adele, Lady Gaga’s more original stuff, Cher, Chrissie Hinde... sort of deep and soulful... rough & rebellious around the edges.
My intention is to get some chords together for the songs (which are currently in my head together with basic melodies to get started) and record in studio when the sound & time is right. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Influences
Where to begin? I appreciate most of it... music is a subjective & complex experience that should not be pigeon holed into limiting genres. It embodies time, emotion, thoughts, senses, imagery & can just as easily reflect on your life as it can on a single fleeting moment.
