Played in a band back home in the US for about 10 years... loved it, but have been out of the scene for about 12. Have the itch to either join a band or find a few fellas to jam with.... I'm 42 and have no aspirations of taking over the world. I play Bass and kinda dabble in the guitar.
I consider myself "good enough" but a bit rusty...but not too good to be obnoxious.
I have no formal training and cant ad-lib or free-style-jam (well not so much anyways) but I can take orders and do just what a bass is supposed to...that is work with the drummer and be the framework.
But that's what a bass player typically is right?...the guy who sucks at guitar but still wants to be in a band.
I don't slap.Cant slap. Not interested in slapping

Influences
Clutch. Built to Spill - Treepeople. Nirvana/AIC/Pearl Jam. STP/Velvet Revolver. Dinosaur Jr. Filter. Hum. U2/Radiohead. Spacehog.
as far as bassist go... I dig:
Royston from Spacehog - bass genious
Duff from GnR/Velvet Relvolver - baddass, non-flamboyant bass badass.
Adam from U2 - the unnoticed guy in the band who just does what the song calls for...until you've heard it a 1000 times and realise he carries the whole tune.
