WHO IS CHUCK A BEAT?
Chuck A Beat is a Melbourne-based music project built on real stories, fearless songwriting, and seriously catchy hooks.
I'm Vivian, the songwriter behind Chuck A Beat. I don't just write songs, I tell stories. Some are funny, some are heartbreaking, some are cheeky, and some hit like a punch to the ribs. Every lyric comes from lived experience, sharp observation, humour, chaos, and the things people think but don't always say out loud.
I've written songs from my own perspective, from the perspective of my children, my nephew, friends, strangers, and even a song can pop up in my head just by hearing a phrase or see a meme. Tell me your story and there's a good chance it will end up in a song.
Even as a child, I was constantly rewriting lyrics in my head without realising I was training myself to become a songwriter. Then in 2024 something clicked. Instead of rewriting other people's songs, I started writing my own.
Today I've written more than 300 original songs across multiple genres. I don't believe in being boxed into one style. If a song wants to be rock, country, reggae, pop, blues, comedy, or something in between, I follow the song.
When I write, I already hear the rhythm, energy and direction before a single instrument is touched. I work closely with talented singers and musicians to bring each track to life exactly as I hear it.
STUDIO WORK & RELEASES
Multiple Chuck A Beat songs have already been professionally recorded and released, with more studio sessions continuously underway.
The project currently works with an expanding pool of singers and musicians, with more than 18 collaborators having already recorded on various Chuck A Beat releases.
The songs never stop coming. Neither does the writing.
