I'm looking to put together an ensemble to play a batch of my own guitar-based instrumental music. The tunes are already written but ability to actually improvise is essential. Think Grateful Dead backing Jeff Beck playing a Thelonious Monk tune over a DC Go-Go beat.

Ideally I'm looking for a drummer who can play a solid funk pocket but can also make sevens and nines swing, two percussionists and a second melodic instrumentalist (could be keyboard, wind or brass). No, I am NOT looking for a vocalist.
