ABOUT
Chip Scanu is a seasoned touring and session drummer who brings raw energy to the stage with Ronnie Simmons and the Redback Spiders. Starting at the age of 6, Chip developed a hard-hitting style spanning country, punk, and rock 'n' roll. By 12 or 13, he was playing his first shows, packing out pubs across rural NSW. Later, he played with Sydney bands Peni Parker, Molly & The Krells & Black Heart Breakers.
In recent years, Chip has completed multiple east coast tours and shared stages with renowned acts such as Tonight Alive, Ocean Grove, Wolfmother, and The Sweet. He's also been part of lineups featuring Fozzy, You Am I, Bodyjar, The Hard-Ons and The Getaway Plan, among others. Known for his versatility and fierce stage presence, Chip's drumming truly embodies the spirit of high energy rock 'n' roll.
