I'm from England and have just moved to Australia having spent the past 3 years living in Asia. I'm here looking to play and make music as often as possible. I'm currently free anytime and ready to jam and gig whenever. My strengths are as a percussion player and drummer. I've been playing since I was a small child and I'm addicted to rhythm so can't stop playing everyday haha. I'm also a passionate singer and writer. I have lots of material, poetry and rhymes ready to use for songs. I'm looking to jam with like-minded musicians who are musically diverse and ready to experiment. I'm fully motivated, ready to make some great songs and hopefully form a band to start performing.

Influences
I listen to lots of music, from any style, any time and any country in the world. I can play the beats and grooves from everything I list here. I can also sing many Latin and African songs well.
World music:
I love African music like traditional stuff from Mali, Tuareg music and Afrobeat. I like most forms of Latin music such as Cumbia, Salsa, Rumba, Samba, Bossa Nova, Cuban, Flamenco etc and the new Latin dub/ Cumbia dub that emerged recently. I like classical Indian music and Pakistani Qawwali. I can also play middle eastern Arabic/ Turkish style grooves.
Electronic music:
Techno, House, Dub, Jungle/ Drum & Bass, Garage, 2-step, Bass music, Psychedelic, Ambient, Hip Hop, Glitch
All Other: Jazz, Soul/Funk, Reggae, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Experimental Rock, Grunge, Prog Rock, Metal
Vocally my favourite singers are Terry Reid, Chris Cornell, Tim and Jeff Buckley and Robbie Basho

EQUIPMENT
Currently I have a Maschine Studio drum machine for production, samples, live performance etc. I have one USB condenser mic.
I have a large djembe, a turkish darbuka, a small set of bongos, a small djembe and some shakers.
I have a Spanish classical guitar.
I'm looking to purchase a H4 or H6 audio recorder, a synthesizer/ MIDI keyboard and a loop station.
If you have a drum kit or access to a studio with one then I'm able to play kit well. If not then I would consider buying a drum kit in time.
