ABOUT

Bordaline is the father and son duo of Jason and Kai Spence, consisting of a Rhythm guitar, Bass guitar and a Drum machine, playing covers and originals.

We started in 2014 and originally formed as a 3 piece consisting of guitar bass and drums. However the bass player resigned 3 weeks prior to signing with Platypus Road Entertainment.

Kai is the singer songwriter and guitarist and he has been producing original music that we often play throughout the covers that make up our regular performances.

We are suited for family style events bringing a splash of humor that you could expect from a Father Son combination.

Members Of Band

Jason Spence – Vocals – Bass Guitar – Drums – Production.

Jason has been working in assorted bands for 30 years. Previously 8 years as Drummer with 26/36 in Central Queensland. Jason started playing music as a teen in his local church and soon moved to pub style gigs. With a wide appreciation for different styles, Jason has worked with county, POP and soft rock artists.
Favorite artist is Dave Growl (Foo Fighters) and loves the influence of punk rock.

Kai Spence – Vocals – Acoustic Guitarist -Drums – songwriter.

Kai attended Heights College during his school years and in that time performed as a finalist in 3 individual battle of the bands. His first performance shocking all who attended as kai performed as Drummer, Guitarist, Singer and even Uke in the 3 song play off. 2 of the songs written by Kai.
Favorite Artist – Taylor swift and Favorite band is the wiggles

Dexter – Drums.

Dexter was added to the duo as requested by the band manager to add a drummer. Dexter was originally named Zon but the name changed as part of a competition to name the drummer. Dexter was a custom built solution that blows a lot of wind without producing unwanted noise. Dexter is a great prop that brings a smile to the grumpiest of onlookers.
