Bobby Poulton is one of Australia’s most prolific live bass players, and this is no accident. As someone who has dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft, Bobby always brings the A-game to everything he puts his hand to.

In 2012, Bobby founded & led the fearsome FRANKIE’S WORLD FAMOUS HOUSE BAND (Oz’s longest running rock and roll residency) at Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice, Australia’s most infamous rock and roll venue, right up until it was demolished at the top of it’s game in 2022. The House Band enjoyed international acclaim, touring Australia with BRUCE KULICK (ex-KISS), GILBY CLARKE (ex-Guns ’N’ Roses, Heart, MC5), DIZZY REED (Guns ’N’ Roses), JON CORABI (ex-Motley Crue), and RIPPER OWENS (ex-Judas Priest).

From 2018-2023, Bobby joined Grammy Award-winning Australian legends WOLFMOTHER, covering both bass and organ duties, where he toured the world and played on many of Australia’s largest stages.

In 2023, Bobby was invited to join rock and roll supergroup THE FILTHY ANIMALS (featuring members of Australian rock royalty: Dragon, Choirboys, Eurogliders, Rose Tattoo, and many more). He was appointed the role of Musical Director in 2024.

In 2025, Bobby joined New Zealand new wave pioneers MI-SEX on bass, filling the space left by the late, great Don Martin.

As they say, good things never stay hidden. it wasn’t long before Bobby caught the eye of the pop & country world, performing & recording with LEE KERNAGHAN, DAMI IM, KARISE EDEN, and many others.

Bobby’s versatility extends to covering all the basses: Electric, upright and synth. With a savage groove, attention to detail, high sonic impact and electrifying performance, the audience is always
left voracious and craving.
