Benny Bettane — born in France and raised in Australia — is an internationally renowned handpan player, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator. Over the years, he has lived and created in cities such as Detroit, Asheville, Milan, London, Paris, Zurich, and Antwerp.
A true pioneer in handpan composition and performance, Benny has developed a distinctive and highly effective method of teaching the instrument, inspiring students and musicians worldwide. For more than a decade, he has been performing and teaching across Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa, and North America.
Benny continually pushes the creative boundaries of the handpan, collaborating with artists from diverse genres — including world music, jazz, funk, electronic, and rap — to create fresh and innovative fusion styles.
On the spiritual side, he harnesses the handpan’s meditative and healing power through sound therapy sessions. His music has touched audiences and spiritual communities across the globe, drawing the attention of renowned figures such as Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Bhakti Yoga teacher Saul David Raye.
