ABOUT

I am a singer/songwriter who has always wanted to be in a band and play at gigs, I have been singing since I was five and have had years of lessons and playing in choirs, I have performed a lot but only a few times solo, I have a moderate knowledge of music theory (grade 2). I even have 3 songs on spotify that I wrote and co produced when I was 14, if you are interested look me up at Ava joy on spotify, It was from when I was a lot younger and doesn't really reflect what I currently write/ sound like but It is still something I see as an acomplishment as signing and songwriting has always been my number 1 love.

Influences

I am into a large varierty of genre's but ultimately really love anything that is a bit avante garde and experimental, I am also into metal and alternative and even folk/psychedelic folk of which my songwriting mostly follows but pretty much love music that is a bit strange and challenges peoples expectations, but also a lof of what i'm into does follow a bit along with indie/pop. I am mostly a singer and songrwriter but also play guitar and piano to support my singing, I can read sheet music and understand it. I am much better at piano then I am guitar and can play basic chord progressions to support my singing but not much else.
