I'm a guitarist who loves to jam and improvise. I like the idea of writing music through jamming. I'm also interested in playing original music and cover songs. I have a wide variety of tastes but I'd say if I was to generalise, it's guitar based music I like (but not country). I like everything from Folk music to Thrash Metal.

Influences

I have a wide variety of influences. 80s metal is what initially made me want to play guitar but when I became obsessed with Jimi Hendrix he inspired me to work on my improvisation skills. Recently, I've been interested in song writing.
I'm actually more interested in particular songs rather than bands but if I was to narrow down my influences it would be this.
Main Early Influences: Trash Metal (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer), Guns n' Roses, U2, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Sound Garden.
Main Later Influences: Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones.
Guitarist I want to play like: David Gilmore, Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix.
I like many other bands, they just haven't influenced my playing.

EQUIPMENT

I have a Charvette electric guitar and a Classical acoustic guitar. I have a small Ross Amp and a Fender pro 185 neither of which I want to use. I will shortly be purchasing a Boss Katana 100 amp.
I have Wah, delay and EQ pedals but wont need them when I get the new amp.
