Hi, my name is Arjun - I've been playing music since I was a kid. My primary instrument is the guitar, and my initial influences were the Beatles, Oasis, Nirvana. I gravitated towards metal as I got older - and listened mainly to Metallica, Gojira, and Meshuggah. I've always had a love for drone-y shoe gaze and abstract music, though, and when I got a little burned out on guitar-based music, and expanded my horizons, I found free jazz (late era Coltrane) and experimental electronic music - Autechre, and Boards of Canada mainly. I'm looking for band members to jam with, I'm happy to play covers, I have a fair few own compositions as well, which attempt to meld together my disparate artistic influences. I'm quite keen on jamming with a female vocalist, because I envision the music I'm currently creating to be sung by an ethereal, piercing, and utterly distinct female voice.
