ABOUT
I am an experienced guitarist who has been committed to working and raising a family. Played semi-professionally back in the day so know what is needed. Now very committed and passionate about establishing and maintaining a long term performing band. I have written several songs and recorded rough mixes in cubase. "Lonely Lover" was written in the 90's so words are a bit juvenile by a teenager yet to have a real girlfriend - but recorded in the past few years with me attempting all instruments including vox for your amusement!
I Like a clean sound distorted but not too much to lose the musical tone. Enjoyed playing with keyboards and female lead vocalist and sax too. Bands I gigged with back in the day included Nu.fx, Witchunt, Low Profile and High Risk. Flexible in styles really, just enjoy performing and being part of a positive group continually improving our sound and performances.
Used to aligning with the style and song choice of the lead vocalist.

Influences
Being a rock guitarist- Commercial to heavy rock but these days most inspired by euro symphonic metal like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Beyond the Black. Live Aussie pub rock was a key influence .. angels, divinyls, radiators, inxs, cold chisel, Aussie crawl and the like but also like the Cure, green day, offspring. David Bowie and dire straits fit in there somewhere.

EQUIPMENT
Well used Gibson Les Paul Studio and Ibanez RG series guitar for tremolo. Boss programmable Katana amp with all the Boss effects and eq built in and on the floor Boss wah, volume, tuner and channel foot switch gets the job done. Shure SM57 mic for vocs.
