Hi, my name is Jas and I’m a singer! :)

You’ll usually find me singing in my bedroom or doing performing arts stuff, making up improvised stories with my baby sisters, chatting endlessly with my friends about sociology, arts and culture at uni, and writing short stories and poetry!

I am a curious, whimsical person and I love to chat, learn & discover how things work! Singing has been such a passion of mine since I was a kid, and I would love to make music friends to do jam sessions and gigs with.

Influences

Nina Simone and Hozier have been life-changing influences for me! I always channel their sense of full body flow, devotion and conviction when I’m singing. Like them, I want to use my artistic voice as a love letter to our human capacity for freedom, joy and self-determination. And to envision a path toward liberation for my communities!

I also adore Florence + The Machine as a vocalist and songwriter!! Her lyrics capture this transcendent feeling of raw emotion, reaching into the depths of the human condition and dragging out life-affirming beauty. And her live vocals are a spiritual experience!
