10 par kyle up is the ongoing 5 years musical project of duo
jake harrison and zeke bronz

the name came from a horrible stutter zeke had when passing a bunch of cars on the highway
"holy sh*t that must be a 10 par kyle up" when he meant 'ten car pile up'
fortunately jake saved his cataclysmic verbal typo with a statement the both of them will never forget
"playing golf with my buddy kyle who's having an astounding lead"
the both of them don't even know how to play golf.

10 par kyle up was founded as 'the ultraviolet catastrophe' by jake harrison and zeke bronz, though throughout its lifetime many people have been involved in songwriting, playing gigs and general autistic activities such as scrolling reels together.

considering jake harrison and zeke bronz met on a minecraft server, really anything is possible within regards to style and influence with this project. ask about how they met and lived just 30 minutes away from each other.

when asked what influences them both as a duo, jake said
"i don't know if theres much that influences one of us that doesn't influence the group as a whole"

zeke replied
"i think we influence each other more than anything really. i'll hear a song he's written and i'll just want to write something better than him"

"i also really like it when we show each other new music, cause like, in a way i guess that we improve each other, expanding each others tastes and influences" jake said

"cause, i do think theres a type of feedback loop present in any musical group, like us or whatever, cause we'll make something we like, be influenced by it and stuff related to it, and make something from that and so on"

zeke built on jakes statement with
"we both really like psychedelic and avant garde art, not just music. we send each other reels of circuit bent cameras and digital projection mapping. we love art that can make you uncomfortable"

"we're also just really good friends, and thats probably the most integral part to why we are passionate in it all"

when asked about what inspires both within music individually, zeke bronz stated
"i always write with a hook in mind. i love listening to songs and waiting for that one moment, and having it just floor me every time.
i love those big emotional crescendos, which probably makes sense cause my favourite album is pet sounds by the beach boys.

i guess my personal favourite genres biggest inspirations are that of baroque pop, hip hop, a lot of dance music like michael jackson. but i'll unironically listen to revolution 9 and get all pretentious. i also really love paul mccartney and olivia rodrigo"

"i've always been fond of music that can captivate me in a way. which i guess sounds dumb, but i like a lot of music.

but i guess theres a lot of reasons why i like music, and i think trying to give one broad reason would never explain why i like weird minimalist music and like, abba or something in the same definition. i just really like sound as a whole

my favourite genres are definitely those surrounding noise rock, electronic, shoegaze and dream pop/noise pop, ambient, but the list can kinda goes on. i also really love the velvet underground"

"our project gives me a sense of purpose. i write a new song almost every single day, and i just have to get them out there. i'm really glad we both are open to really anything, not just in art, so, yeah."

when asked about if there was anything they'd like people to know about them, heres what they shared

"we're absolutely in need of people who are confident in playing multiple instruments, and or having some sort of creative or structural role to the group. while we primarily work as a duo, the amount of times we've had the 'we need to branch out' conversation is well in the hundreds" zeke said

"drummers please! i'm usually the drummer for gigs and i'm not professional enough to sing lead vocals while drumming." he also added.

jake further expressed,
"also if you play cello or some other interesting/less traditional instrument, in the context of a rock group or whatever, then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!"
