ABOUT

We have a singer, guitarist, drummer and bassist and need to augment the line-up with a keyboard player who likes to play fun music. We've played paid gigs and have more lined up but want to get to a fairly good level. We rehearse at Marrickville. The studio is cheap and there are keyboards there for you if you don't always want to lug your own. Message me please.

I'm a fast learner, and have played a heap of songs, so given a couple of weeks notice I can usually be gig ready. Have transport and good gear.

I work for myself so can be available days, nights and weekends.

To see the list of songs I can play, go to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ktrlwtl75ApEHjkA9tfGgqcprQ1kBkHFvMsbcLjFOT0/edit?usp=sharing

I am in one band already, but they only gig about 10 times a year, well paid club gigs, but I want more. I'm also the fill in bass player for another band with a horn section.

I do like to get serious and committed to a project so maybe people with too many commitments with kids, spouses and jobs would find my dedication a pain if they couldn't match it (exaggerating!)

I also play a bit of drums and keys, but not really to a performance standard, so up for a bit of fun there.

I am also looking for people who have a concept.

Some ideas:

Glam rock spoof band. I have a concept for a show type band, but again that would be covers.

Soul / blues / rock / disco covers band.

I'd like to form some sort of acoustic combo, probably with female voice. I'm thinking of doing pop song covers, some old , some new, and I don't have any of my original material that I was going to force you to sing...it could either be your stuff or other artists stuff. I'd probably be looking for something lo-fi, maybe acoustic covers of recent hits or old favorites.

Happy, Shake it Off, Corner of the Sky, Century Plant, Baby Can I hold you (Tracy Chapman) are tunes that we could do, maybe Walk of the Earth style.

If it was original music, I'd probably be going for the power pop or pop rock formats.
