ABOUT
The Dandy Jonestown Massacre play the music of The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
We are not a tribute band, in that we do not try to imitate or assume alter-egos of the original bands.
Rather we are fans ourselves, and we play the music we love for local fans who want to hear Dandies & BJM music live (at least when neither band is in town touring).
We have been playing around Melbourne for almost 3 years now, and have built up a great following of local fans. We have semi-regular spots at the Rainbow Hotel and other iconic venues around town, and have recently started playing private gigs.

We're in our mid-40s to early 50s, each have years of experience playing in both originals and cover bands. We don't care what age you are, as long as you're serious about regular practice and knowing your parts, so that we sound the best we possibly can.
We're all scattered around the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, and we jam in Burwood.
