ABOUT

I'm a bassist and solid rhythm guitarist (I don't make it cry or sing).

I already play bass in, and manage, a gigging originals band, The Bone Folders, but am looking for a second band and/or other opportunities to play more regularly.

I want to expand my repertoire and improve my technique. I'll happily do covers until the cows come home, but would also like to develop my composition skills.

I've listed influences that may seem fairly standard, but they do represent the starting point in my journey. I never stop learning and seeking out new influences.

My bass playing is influenced by Paul McCartney, Maurice Gibb, Roger Waters, Jack Bruce, Randy Meisner and Timothy B Schmit.

My guitar playing is rocksteady and somewhat understated (less is more). My main influences are Barry Gibb, John Lennon, Noel Gallagher, Rudolf Schenker and Rick Parfitt.

CALENDAR

Past Events

In May 2019, The Bone Folders and Taylor Project spent a weekend making music in the old RSL hall in Elmore, Victoria. The Elmore sessions resulted in the double A-side 7-inch single, “At The Pokies Pub' (Taylor Project)/ 'Dunolly' (Bone Folders), which the bands will jointly launch at Open Studio on 19 April 2020.

Folk/country outfit Taylor Project are celebrating a decade-plus of beautifully crafted musical vignettes, with a particular penchant for Victorian history and the cycle of life and death.

The Bone Folders are a country/folk/rock band, who perform songs about Melbourne’s weather, 19th-century German settlers, regional towns and even the offspring of medieval executioners.

Don’t miss a rare opportunity to see both bands share the stage in an intimate setting. Show starts at 8:30 pm.

$5 entry (door). 7" Vinyl on sale at the venue (cash only), via Bandcamp and CD Baby.
