SEEKINGLead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar.
Hi, my name is Kim. I am a singer, a performer and an aspiring songwriter. I have performed at markets, pubs, cafes and weddings both solo and as part of a group. I am a huge acoustic music lover and I largely sing easy listening covers of popular vocalists including Sarah McLachlan, Colbie Caillat, Fleetwood Mac, Adele, and Coldplay among others.
I am looking for a confident, quality guitarist to play backup music while I sing. I play ukulele and guitar, but I am looking for someone to perform with me during larger gigs so I can concentrate on singing.
Separately, I am also interested in finding other songwriters to collaborate with. I can offer harmonisation on originals or singing vocals for recordings either professionally or in exchange for assistance in my own song writing.
If you are interested please listen to my recordings on SoundCloud (http://smarturl.it/kyscloud), YouTube (http://smarturl.it/b3qipq) or Facebook at Kim Yang Music.
My short bio:
Kim Yang is a Taiwanese-Australian singer. Inspired by female vocalists like Sarah McLachlan, Colbie Caillat, Adele and Regina Spektor, Kim has brought her melodious and ethereal voice from her hometown of Taipei to the cafes of Canberra.
Since developing a passion for music at an early age, Kim has shared her voice everywhere from intimate bookshops to national television. She believes that singing soothes the soul and provides a remedy to any worry.

The Accents are living proof that music is a universal language. Its band members hail from Asia, Europe and Tasmania but play music here in Canberra. They perform a mix of covers from Fleetwood Mac to Ed Sheeran that cater for young to old. At Beyond Q they will play a mix of easy-going songs, perfect for planning that next adventure over a good cup of coffee.
