Looking for local musos initially for a weekly jam for a bit of fun with a view to getting a band going, throwing a few ideas around and maybe playing a few gigs (?). Not an experienced gigging musician or professional, but good level of competency. Keen on writing original stuff - have a few songs and have snippets of riffs and melodies which I'd like to flesh out with a band. Mid 50s now so people in the over 40s age group.

Bowie, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Doors, Stranglers, UFO, British new wave, the Damned, Stone Roses, QOTSA, The Verve, Chilli Peppers, Portishead, the Cocteau Twins, Roxy Music, Kate Bush, Echo and the Bunnymen and on and on. Fairly eclectic. No one genre, would like to play different styles.
