ABOUT

BEAST IMPALOR - A ghoulish, goblin-ey mix of music, with symphonic elements, heavy guitars and a "circus-like" theme. Bouncy, heavy and original music.

We are seeking a dedicated bassist to join our band as a full time member.
Songs are primarily in B and C tuning, often times with changes during live shows. Our existing rig is digital for ease of touring, laptop for patch and channel changing automations, and guitar and bass in the past have tended to be floor FX units or DI into PA. The ability to digitally pitch or quickly swap tuning on the fly is preferred (such as from a digital floor unit) due to our ever changing setlist.

We consider ourselves to be 'non-consequential', in the terms that our musical and lyrical themes are all just fantasy, made up goblin nonsense. We take the music seriously, but ensure we're always having fun with it too. The songs often sound very much like carnival music, with dark and brooding passages, as well as upbeat bubbly fast sections.

Beast Impalor released 'Goblin', a 4-track EP in 2020, and have concluded a national tour with European metal heavyweights Tyr in 2022.

Our members are dedicated and enthusiastic towards writing new material and performing regularly. Our reputation often finds us performing more outside of the ACT than within, with most shows being popular in Melbourne.

On a personal level, we love games (mostly PC and Xbox), Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop RPGs, grabbing a beer or 10, and we spend a fair amount of time hanging out outside of band duties.
