We are a couple of friends, guitarist and bass, who have jammed together on and off for 12 years. Mainly original/'freestyle' stuff. We plan on forming a band, playing original material. Looking for a drummer and vocalist who are happy to jam until we can get the band off the ground. Neither of us can read music or have a ton of experience. But there is enough talent to write (have a couple of songs needing proper structure and lyrics) and perform. I have been in several garage bands and a working band. We have now bought a 20 track desk and waiting on a laptop to be built purely for recording.

Influences
I'm into mainly 80s rock/metal. Everything from ACDC to ZZTop. Guitarist is into 70s metal, folk and a bit of reggae thrown in. We both love Dropkick Murphys, which kinda changed the direction we we're headed. We are looking at playing like a blues/folk/rock mix (eg The Dead South, Butchers & Builders).

EQUIPMENT
Nothing flash at this stage. I have a Behringer 300w combo. Ben has a Pignose 150R Crossmix amp, 1 acoustic, a semi-acoustic and an electric guitar + a multi effects pedal. I have two 4 string basses, one of which is tuned BEAD to accommodate drop D tuning and a 5 string semi-acoustic. I occasionally use a Boss distortion pedal. Have recently bought a mandolin, which I hope to learn to play.
We also have a 20 track mixing desk which we will be running thru a laptop for recording purposes.
