Have written, played, and recorded music - basically just as a hobby - for many years, but never found musicians where I grew up I could collaborate with, as they weren't inspired by the same weird mix of stuff as me. I also briefly worked as an assistant in a Melbourne studio (though not directly on recording).
I have some professional quality recording equipment (including an audio-interface) have worked with a few different DAWs (fell into using ableton most of the time), and a lot of instruments... some of which I'm better at than others. I am mostly proficient on rhythm/finger-picking guitar, harmonica, and bass. I am reasonably good at piano and singing and have a pretty good ear for harmonies. I can get a sound out of many other things, though not well enough to play live.
Happy to just play with people, but if some kind of actual band or recording project comes out of it I can make time for that too. I am much more interested in recording than live playing, but am open to that as well.
