ABOUT

Lucas Green is a versatile, experienced guitarist from Perth, Western Australia. Classically trained since the age of 11, he is currently completing a Diploma of Contemporary Music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), with plans to commence the Bachelor of Contemporary Music in 2023.

Although specialising in rock and blues music, Lucas enjoys and is proficient in many other genres such as pop, RnB funk and soul. Taking influence from innovative guitarists such as David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Tom Scholz (Boston) and Jeff Beck, he has a keen ear for melody and feel.

A classic rock enthusiast, Lucas seeks to preserve the innovation of rock music released from the 1960’s to the 1990’s, that has influenced so many contemporary music artists of today. Performing in tribute and cover bands is his favourite way to make such music accessible to new audiences, and those who grew up listening to it all those years ago.

In 2022 Lucas is working on a Pink Floyd tribute show, which will include the legendary album The Dark Side of the Moon played in its entirety, in celebration of the album’s 50th anniversary on March 1st 2023.
