Hi,
I'm looking for older fellow musos, with good lead vocals and the ability to harmonize, as well as play either keyboard, bass or fiddle. If you can dabble on banjo or mando, that would great too.
My intention is to create a trio or maybe 4 piece to play contemporary folk, light rock, 60's and 70's pop...
eg Dylan, Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, Eagles, Warren Zevon, Mamas and Papas, Crosby, Stills, Nash (and sometimes Young).
If you know this music, you'll understand why the ability to harmonize is non-negotiable. An alto or soprano would be ideal but a tenor or baritone could also work.
My Background: I've been playing rhythm guitar and acoustic for about 50 years, on and off. Started mixing a professional 5 piece band, playing 6 nights a week, when I was 18 and have continued to work as a mixer whenever the opportunity arose..Did lots of multi-track recording in my 20's-30's. Produce a couple of CD's.
Over the last 10-12 years I've been working with a talented finger picker guitarist / singer and played a number of gigs in Hills venues. We have also been a trio on a few occasions. Now, I'm eager to find the right people and start something new along with this guitarist.

See above.. but anything and everything from Brass Bands to Nat King Cole and Heavy Metal to Buble. The only exceptions are HipHop and Rap... due to their general lack of Melody (which is paramount in my book).
