A fresh combination of Hip-Hop, Rock and Funk, JackJackJack’s original music is solid and sincere in its delivery.

Fresh on the local scene, JackJackJack has developed a distinctive sound. An impressive fusion of genres, their style of Hip-Funk-Rock-Hop is like no other.

Bringing a remarkable ability to blend melodic vocals with convincing rap, JackJackJack’s Magdalene Baines energetically projects her sound above the intricate foundations laid by the drummer, guitarist and bassist. Unlike other “horn sections”, the saxophonists provide a distinctive addition that completes the JackJackJack sound.

Mesmerising and unique, their live shows are delivered with an on-stage intensity that reflects the dedication that each member has to the music and the audience. Well layered and meticulously detailed, their music encapsulates the best of the eclectic mix of artists that has influenced each of the group’s members.

With aspirations for festival main stages, JackJackJack strove hard in 2013 to land their first festival performance at Rainbow Serpent and in spring of 2013, released their well-received mini-EP “Spring Demo”, featuring just three of their exceptional compositions – Internet, Survival and Bounce.

There is no doubt that this family of six has the dedication and vivacity to be a shining light in Australia’s original music scene.
