Bio
Bobbi has played with Blues, Reggae and Rock bands throughout Indonesia. Bobbi’s eclectic musical versatility, playing dexterity and virtuoso, and natural charisma make him a favourite choice for recording artists and bands alike. Bobbi is just as much ‘at home’ collaborating new music as he is able and willing to create signature interpretation from covers music. Bobbi plays acoustic, electric and bass guitar and has been playing professionally for 12 years. He has the versatility and interest to play any genre but his favourites are Blues, Roots, Rock and Reggae.
Bobbi is able to listen to something for the first time and pick it up immediately which clearly makes him adaptable and apt to working as a session recording artist. As a session player he is able to give a record a special sound, a contemporary edge, or a dazzling quality of virtuosity. His creativity, sound improvisational skills, unique musical interpretation and acoustic playing technique have been favoured and admired by his professional peers. These abilities have secured him as a respected and sought-after talent seeing him collaborate and record with internationally renowned Indonesian Reggae, Blues, Rock and Folk artists.
Bobbi is a true professional. He is well regarded for his integrity, musicianship, and his willingness to work hard and contribute beyond his musical contributions – including stage management, sound set-up and acting in the position of ‘sound man’ when required. He has experience playing big festival events, being on a promotional tour circuit, playing at popular music venues and events attracting a diverse international crowd, working in a recording studio, playing in big bands as well as smaller acoustic sessions in bars and restaurants.
Bobbi is currently based in Geelong, Australia. He’s also available for freelance, session recording, and collaboration with other artists and bands, as well as committing to a working band!
