ABOUT
Hi I'm Andrew , I started playing drums in a Scottish pipe band back when I was an 8yr old , after 2-3yrs of instruction and practice I was the WA state champion for two years and at about 14yrs old I found the Drum kit . I was instructed initially by the late SYD SMITH , who back then owned the Drum Shop , with experience playing publicly in the pipe band it wasn't long before myself and four mates started a rock band . initially we were Overdrive , playing big venues like the ocean view tavern LOL , then there was Fusion , playing better venues and getting a bit of coin ! Finally there was Conspiracy and we had and I have some of the best memories of my life , I didn't play for a couple of years and then enlisted into the Australian Army , after serving here and over seas I took discharge and I guess I've really only dabbled on and off since !! I'm now 21 in my head and 48 every where else , also in the recent past I've taken up guitar , however once a drummer always a drummer . my influences are greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan , Gary Moore , BBKing I enjoy Blues however I'm also an old school metal head from Sabbath , Motorhead to Iron Maiden but still love to play the easier listening rock ballads like Pink Floyd to newer eras like Rob Thomas , as well as a harder sound like Tool , Metallica and lots more , I guess I mean I have a wide and varied taste in music and I'm able to respect it for the multiple styles and sounds they each have . I would love to get together with other muso's and just jam , or commit to a band and get back on stage coz that's where I have had some of the greatest times I'm able to remember . So I'm 48 now and have to say that computer generated sounds aren't my thing I'd love to get with other muso's who know what I mean by saying that we gel , feed off each other , and ad lib but still know where each other is going , and wanna make music with musical instruments and musical ability not press a button and a machine does the rest . my number is 0411606776 if your keen text me first and we'll go from there BYE !!
