We are a soul band looking for musicians to help bring our music to the masses. Instrumentalists required are:

Keys (Piano, Organ, Rhodes)
Trumpet
Sax (Baritone ideally)

We already been playing gigs with other musicians in Melbourne's Fitzroy, Northcote and Brunswick Areas, but feel, due to availability of some members, that we would like to involve fresh faces into the mix.

I would describe our sound as Soul with a pop sensibility and elements of funk. There's a real emphasis on composition over improvisation, we try to get all the elements working together as a whole and so often the parts are fairly simple, but we are looking for people who can appreciate this and can get the 'feel' and tone of the music just right. Musicians that are always listening to how their parts fit with the other instruments are right up our alley! Vintage is the name of the game in terms of tone.

We have since written another 6 songs or so and have perhaps found our sound a bit more in the latter songs. Our gigs are mostly originals but we did do one Mayer Hawthorne cover and are thinking about adding more covers to the mix and maybe expand to two sets more of material when necessary.
